IT'S GONNA BE A GOOD YEAR.

i am back...

i know you have heard this from me before, but now its for real...

i have resolutions and stuff to prove it...

i am really, really happy for my first 2011 post... it's mostly because that little date up top says 2011 and for the first time in my life i am very happy that a year is over. I am normally the sentimental sappy type on new years, but i have to say while there was some bright spots...

2010, you really pushed me to my limits, and i am glad to say farewell...

here's to you 2011... I have high hopes for you!

a few things i am looking forward to... resolutions if you will...

1. writing here a little more regularly. i really enjoyed getting to look back on what little i updated here the past year... so in 2011, more to come.

2. moving in. our renovation journey has been a long one and we are in the final stretch... i can't wait!

3. lots of photos. i really enjoy photography and documenting our life through pictures... maybe even a class. who knows?

4. new business. i am really looking forward to starting a new little business once i cross a few more things off my list.

5. old business. website... for real.

6. me. i need a little soul searching and me time to get my life back in order.

so stay tuned, because i have some good stuff planned.

2009: My Year In Review

some of my favorite memories from 2009...

he got down on one knee...

 i learned to snowboard {sort of}...

we had a valentine's day picnic in the dark...

left all our worries behind 

and hopped on a plane to Mexico...

took up some golf...

spent another great summer with these two lovelies...

got up close and personal with stevie knicks ♥...

journeyed to ireland, where...

i kissed the blarney stone...

stormed many castles...

sang {a lot}...

and laughed so hard i cried...

watched my grandma laugh and cry in yankee stadium...

made {and sold!} lots of headbands...

spent a day arranging flowers...

for her...

became godparents...

to Laina...

roasted marshmallows and told stories...

looked on as they became husband and wife...

celebrated with friends...

set a date {10.01.10}...

thanks 2009... you were good to me!

Welcome 2010... Nice to meet you!

i'm not really a new years kind of girl...

 I usually end up sad reflecting on the fact that another year has come and gone... however, this year as 2010 stumbles upon me I am welcoming it with open arms 2009 was very good to me and I am so excited to see 

what 2010 has to offer...

here's just a few of the things that I am looking forward to:

- saying "i do"

- dancing with my dad

- buying a house and making it a home

- not wearing shoes for a week with my family here

- celebrating another decade of my amazing sister as she turns 30!

- learning how to cook and calling my mom every 2 seconds for help

- reuniting with my lucky ladies for our sixth summer in business

-watching my grandmother become the most fabulous 

80 year old woman in the world

- hosting a holiday, any holiday

- letting Tim Burton transport me to wonderland in March!

- learning to work my new Super 8 camera and making lots of movies

-  giving the website another shot

- opening a temporary shop for the holidays here

- enjoying the little things everyday has to offer

2010 I can already tell we were made for each other!
